This weekend, Jac and I almost mastered the transportation system.
But not really...
Our first outing on Saturday was to her friend Peter's house on the west side. This was a fun experience for us because we haven't used the bus yet. To get to the west side from our apartment, you take bus through Central Park. We have decided we like the subway...

After visiting the Upper West Side, we traveled south to the East Village to get pizza and go to
Idle Hands Bar.

Sunday morning Jac and I woke up with one thing in mind: Brunch. There's a fantastic little cafe very close to us called
Gracie's Cafe. There I enjoyed an Italian Frittata

On our way home, we made a stop at
Crumbs Bakery and picked up a delicious treat to enjoy at home

After surviving my food coma, we trekked to Central Park's
Summer Stage to wait in a ridiculous line to see a free concert. Unfortunately, after waiting awhile in the line that
wasn't moving, Jac made the executive decision to leave the line and venture further into the park. As soon as we left the line, it began to move. Just our luck

After enjoying a bit of the music from a park bench, we walked further into the park to get a popsicle. We stumbled upon this beautiful place:
Bethesda Fountain

From Central Park, our travels took us to Brooklyn, where we celebrated a dog's first birthday...

...and then dinner at Austin and Damara's. Dinner blew my mind.
