People find my things sometimes aggressive. But I don’t see it as aggressive. I see it as romantic, dealing with a dark side of personality - Alexander McQueen

Today, Jac and I went to the Metropolitan Museum of Art to see the Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty Exhibition.

The line to get into the Met (general admission to the museum) went all the way from the front door, which is at 82nd Street, and wrapped all the way around the side of the building on 80th Street.  Luckily the weather was phenomenal, and we got to enjoy some sunshine.

After paying to get in, the line for the actual exhibit went up the stairs, wrapped around the entire mezzanine and through several galleries.  Total wait time was around 2 hours.

Unfortunately, I cannot take my own photos in the exhibition (although many ignorant people did), so I have a few of my favorite pieces from the exhibition.  To see the galleries as they are in the museum, go here.

Here's Jac and I outside the Met.  Extremely tired and frustrated with the ridiculous amounts of rude people that were present in the exhibition.  Unfortunately for me, I'm 5'2", so the unbearable crowd of people in the galleries was an uncomfortable experience.  However, the show was phenomenal!

When we got back, we hung a few pieces on our living room walls!

Here is the beautiful poster that Jac bought for our living room!

Tonight ended with some fantastic pasta, and relaxing on the couch watching 30Rock!  I also enjoyed my first taste of Bourbon, courtesy of my delightfully Kentucky room mate
