Let's get one thing straight: There's a few things I'm extremely passionate about. And one of them is MOVIES. So every year, I ramp up for the main event, The Oscars.
In anticipation for this years Academy Awards, I've concocted a list of My picks, and what I think will win:
Best Pic: My pick - The Artist
What will probably win - The Artist
For those who have seen The Artist, I really don't feel like there is an explanation in order. I think The Descendants might win because it truly was great, it won the Globe, and lets be real. Clooney.
Actor (Lead): My pick - Jean Dujardin
Who will probably win - Jean Dujardin
Are you kidding? Of course he'll win
Actress (Lead): My pick - Meryl Streep
Who will probably win - Viola Davis
It's Meryl. That's why I pick her.
Actor (Supporting): My pick - Kenneth Branaugh
Who will probably win - Christopher Plummer
Actress (Supporting): My pick - Octavia Spencer
Who will probably win - Octavia Spencer
Cinematography: My pick - The Artist
Who will probably win - War Horse
War Horse is a Spielberg and Dreamworks SKG film. With that much money, the cinematography better be good.
Art Direction: My pick - Midnight in Paris
Who will probably win - Midnight in Paris
Directing: My pick - The Descendents
Who will probably win - Midnight in Paris
Sound Editing: My/Will - Drive
With a unique use of soundtrack and Gosling just being a plain kick-ass, I think it's a no-brainer.
